Auguste Rodin's stunning sculpture The Kiss is on display in our ground floor Sunley Gallery for only 2 more weeks.
Don't miss being seduced by this life-size work, voted the nation's favourite artwork in a 2003 poll. This is only the third time this evocative work has been shown outside of London, and has the backdrop of the gallery's stunning sea views and Margate's famous Turner skies.
Have you been to see The Kiss?

para Respirar (Breathing Time)
14 September 2012 - 17 March 2013
Our second artist commission for the Sunley Gallery is Tempo para Respirar (Breathing Time) by Brazilian artist Maria Nepomuceno. This new work, Nepomuceno's most ambitious to date, brings a landscape of colour, sound and texture into our beautiful Sunley Gallery, which overlooks Margate seafront. You can sit amidst the work's many colours and textures, hearing the sounds of Brazil emerging from the work, or relax in a hammock looking out to sea.
Help create the incredible new artwork
We want local artists, craftspeople and all gallery visitors to help create Maria's new work. There are lots of ways for you to participate, from drop in workshops and a Studio Group to a rope exchange. Everyone welcome.
